Digital Product Purchases
Artifact Factory is a digital product delivered electronically. Because access to the product is provided shortly after purchase and the files may be downloaded, saved, copied, and retained, all sales are final except as expressly stated in this policy.
We do not offer refunds, returns, cancellations, or exchanges for digital product purchases once access has been delivered.
Why Sales Are Final
Artifact Factory includes a complete CMMC Level 2 documentation package made available in digital form. Unlike a physical product, digital files cannot be meaningfully returned once delivered. For that reason, purchases are treated as final after access is provided.
We encourage all customers to review the product description, included materials, product scope, delivery details, and related policy pages before purchasing so they can make an informed decision about whether the product is an appropriate fit for their organization.
What the Product Includes
Artifact Factory provides a structured digital documentation system intended to support organizations preparing for CMMC Level 2 compliance efforts. The product includes documentation templates, supporting artifacts, and related materials designed to help organizations build a more complete and assessment-ready documentation environment.
Artifact Factory is a documentation product. It is not a customized implementation, not a managed service, and not a substitute for organization-specific technical, operational, legal, or assessment guidance.
Buyer Responsibility
Before purchasing, the buyer is responsible for determining whether the product is appropriate for their organization’s needs, environment, and stage of readiness.
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you understand the following:
- you are purchasing a digital documentation product delivered electronically,
- the product is intended to be customized to your organization,
- the product does not include tailored consulting or implementation services unless separately stated,
- documentation alone does not guarantee certification, assessment success, or regulatory approval,
- your organization remains responsible for implementing controls, operating required processes, maintaining evidence, and preparing for any formal assessment.
No Guarantee of Certification or Assessment Outcome
Artifact Factory is designed to support documentation readiness, but it does not guarantee any specific business, compliance, certification, audit, contractual, or assessment outcome.
Purchase of Artifact Factory does not guarantee:
- CMMC certification,
- successful completion of a C3PAO assessment,
- favorable audit findings,
- regulatory approval,
- contract eligibility,
- or achievement of any specific timeline or business objective.
All materials are provided for documentation support and preparation purposes only.
Access and Delivery Support
If you experience an issue accessing or downloading the files you purchased, please contact:
We will make reasonable efforts to help restore access, including reissuing download information or providing an alternate delivery method when appropriate.
An access or delivery issue does not by itself create a right to a refund if the product can still be successfully delivered or access can be restored within a reasonable period.
Limited Exceptions
Although digital product purchases are generally final, refund requests may be considered in the following limited circumstances:
1. Duplicate Purchase
A verified duplicate purchase of the same product made in error.
2. Unresolvable Delivery Failure
A verified technical failure that permanently prevents access to the purchased files and cannot be resolved after reasonable support efforts.
3. Material Non-Delivery
A confirmed situation in which the purchased product was not delivered at all and Artifact Factory is unable to provide access within a reasonable period after notice.
Any approved exception is granted on a case-by-case basis and only when supported by the specific facts of the transaction. Approval of one request does not create an obligation to approve any future request.
Situations That Are Not Grounds for Refund
Refunds will not be issued for reasons including, but not limited to:
- change of mind after purchase,
- misunderstanding of the product scope when the scope was stated on the site,
- failure to review the product description or policy pages before purchase,
- preference for a different format, structure, or writing style,
- dissatisfaction based on business results, assessment outcomes, or implementation progress,
- a determination that the product requires customization to fit your environment,
- internal procurement, stakeholder, or budget changes after purchase,
- delayed implementation on the buyer’s side,
- or the fact that the product is not a substitute for consulting, legal advice, technical implementation, or formal assessment services.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there has been a billing error or delivery problem, please contact Artifact Factory first so the issue can be reviewed and, when possible, resolved promptly.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated, Artifact Factory reserves the right to provide relevant documentation to the payment processor or financial institution, including transaction records, delivery confirmations, access records, correspondence, and this Refund Policy.
Policy Interpretation and Updates
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise. Artifact Factory reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time, with changes applying prospectively from the date posted on the site.
